Welcome to Finca La Luz! We are delighted that you are considering a stay with us. These terms explain our booking arrangements and help ensure a comfortable, safe and enjoyable experience for all our guests.

1. Reservations

All reservations are subject to availability. A reservation is confirmed once we have accepted the booking and provided written confirmation by email or through the relevant booking platform.

Your booking confirmation will include your accommodation, dates of stay, number of guests and total price.

The person making the reservation must be at least 18 years old and is responsible for providing accurate booking information and ensuring that all members of their party respect these terms and house rules.

2. Prices and Payment

The total price and any applicable additional charges will be communicated before your reservation is confirmed.

For direct bookings, no advance payment is required. Payment for the full stay is due upon arrival.

We accept cash payments in US dollars (USD) or Costa Rican colones (CRC). Please confirm your preferred payment currency with us before arrival.

Any alternative payment arrangements must be agreed upon in advance.

For reservations made through Airbnb, Booking.com or another booking platform, the payment arrangements confirmed through that platform apply.

3. Changes and Cancellations

We understand that travel plans can change. We kindly ask you to inform us as early as possible if you need to cancel your reservation or change your travel dates. Early notice gives us the opportunity to offer the accommodation to other guests.

We do not charge cancellation fees for direct bookings under our standard booking arrangements.

For reservations made through third-party booking platforms, the cancellation conditions applicable to the reservation on that platform apply.

4. Occupancy

Each accommodation can accommodate a maximum of four guests. Please ensure that your reservation accurately reflects the number of guests staying at the property and inform us in advance of any changes.

Additional guests or visitors require prior approval from the hosts.

5. Check-in and Check-out

* Check-in: From 3:00 PM (15:00)

* Check-out: By 10:00 AM

Please let us know your expected arrival time in advance. If your travel plans change or you expect to arrive later than planned, we kindly ask you to keep us informed.

Early check-in and late check-out are subject to availability and prior agreement.

6. Access to Finca La Luz

Finca La Luz is located in the green hills of Portalón, in the Quepos area of Costa Rica.

Due to the gradient and condition of the access road, a 4x4 vehicle with all-wheel drive is required to reach the property. Please take this into account when planning your journey.

7. House Rules

To maintain a peaceful and pleasant environment for everyone, we kindly ask all guests to observe the following rules:

* No parties or events: Parties, events and disruptive gatherings are not permitted.

* No pets: Pets are not permitted on the property, subject to any applicable legal requirements concerning assistance animals.

* Smoking: Smoking is permitted only outdoors on the private terrace of your own accommodation. Smoking is not permitted inside the accommodation or in shared areas.

* Respect for others: Please be considerate of other guests and neighbours and keep noise to a reasonable level, particularly in the evening and at night.

* Visitors: Visitors who are not registered guests require prior approval from the hosts.

* Property care: Please treat the accommodation, furniture, facilities and natural surroundings with care. Any damage or maintenance issue should be reported to the hosts as soon as possible.

Guests may be held responsible for damage they cause beyond normal wear and tear, subject to applicable law.

8. Swimming Pool and Children

Please follow all posted safety instructions and any guidance provided by the hosts when using the swimming pool and shared outdoor areas.

Children must be supervised by a responsible adult at all times, particularly around the swimming pool and throughout the property. The pool is not supervised by a lifeguard.

9. Tropical Environment

Finca La Luz is situated in a tropical natural environment. Guests may encounter insects, wildlife, uneven terrain and changing weather conditions.

Please exercise appropriate care when exploring the grounds, particularly with children, and avoid disturbing or feeding wildlife.

10. Personal Belongings

Guests are responsible for their personal belongings and valuables during their stay. We recommend keeping valuables secure and checking your accommodation carefully before departure.

To the extent permitted by applicable law, Finca La Luz is not responsible for personal belongings that are lost, forgotten, misplaced or left unattended. Please contact us if you believe you have left something behind, and we will do our best to assist.

11. Applicable Law

These terms are intended to be consistent with the laws of Costa Rica. Nothing in these terms limits any rights or protections that cannot lawfully be excluded under applicable law.

For reservations made through third-party booking platforms, the applicable platform terms and the conditions confirmed for the reservation also apply.
